Calling the High Desert home along with my husband Gary for the past sixteen years has been amazing. I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl thirty seven years ago that came into the world with her dad’s heart, love of the Lord and calling to serve. I’ve worked in the senior housing industry for thirteen years; I have and seen how real the struggles are of our underserved seniors. It was time for me to step out on faith and try to make a difference. If not now, when?

Director of Sales and Operations
Tarrah Butorovich Plascencia
My name is Tarrah Butorovich Plascencia. In 2014 I graduated from M.S.M.U. with a Degree in Gerontology. I have always had a passion for the senior community. Through loosing my Dad this last year to diabetes complications God was preparing me to fulfill a need in our High Desert Community. Starting The Ruth and Naomi Project we are here to help in those needs and to be of service.

Lisa Gonzalez
Lisa Gonzalez is a board member of the Ruth and Naomi Project, having served on the board for the past six years since 2020. She brings 32 years of experience in healthcare, with the last 19 years dedicated to working with VNAcare hospice, supporting seniors and their families. Prior to hospice, she worked in acute care hospitals, physical rehabilitation and in a medical group, helping educate on resources and options for patients and families needing assistance with goals of care. As a Christ follower, she is driven by a desire to serve others, especially because after her father passed away unexpectedly at the age of 48, she didn’t know there were different avenues of help to navigate the care her grandmother needed. She has resided in the High Desert her entire life, which deepens her commitment to this community. When not busy working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her husband Michael reading the Bible, as well as having quality time with family, enjoying laughter and conversations, while making wonderful memories about the simple pleasures of life.
